Members of the Working Committee

Er. Phuntsog Namgial, President
A retired Civil Engineer, who worked as Executive Engineer, Construction Division Leh before he retired from Govt. Services. He also worked as Director, Ladakh Ecological Development Group for many years.

Ms. Ishey Angmo, Vice-President
She worked as a Lady Health Visitor in the medical department Leh for many years before she retired from Govt. Services. She is an active social worker and was member of the Working Committee, LEDeG in the past also.

Dr. Tsering Norboo, Member
He retired after a distinguished career in medicine at Sonam Norboo Memorial Hospital Leh where he worked as Physician Specialist for many years. He is associated with many International Institutions in Research on Health issues at high altitudes.

Mr. Tatbar Joldan, Member
He is presently working as Assistant Labour Commissioner Leh and also holds the position of District Panchayat Officer Leh as an additional charge. He completed previously a glorious stint as Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies Leh and rendered exemplary service to the cause of cooperative movement in Ladakh.

Er. Paldan Phuntsog, Member

Mr. Paldan Phuntsog is a retired Asstt. Executive Engineer and he had been at LEDeG earlier, during his service life, on deputation. He remains actively involved with social activities.

Mr. Mohd Abbas, Member 
Mr. Abbas works as a Forest Range Officer, to which position he rose with sheer hard work and perseverance. He is also interested in conservation issues and the flora and fauna of Ladakh.
 
Er. Tashi Chombel, Member
He is presently working as an Executive Engineer in the Govt. and is a very enthusiastic young engineer. He has a past history of working with LEDeG on appropriate technology and renewable energy.
 
Ms. Tsering Angmo, Member
A retired government school teacher and a well known organic farmer, she has represented Ladakh at several cultural and farmer's exchange programmes, both at the national and international level.
