On the 2nd of September, 2009, a one-day workshop on Solar Energy Action Plan for Ladakh Region was successfully organized jointly by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) Government of India, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Ladakh Renewable Energy Development Agency (LREDA) and Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG).

LEDeG in collaboration with University of Applied Sciences Northwestern (FHNW), Switzerland, and BORDA, Germany, is organizing an on-site training programme to transfer skills necessary for planning, implementation and management of community based Micro Hydro Power Units.
